Elo la artista

En la película, “Mean Girls”, la mama de Regina George le dice a Cady Heron “I’m not a regular mom, I’m a cool mom” (No soy una mamá regular, soy una mamá chida). Y tal vez no es el caso para Señora George, pero sí es el caso para Elo. Es la madre de 6 hijos (de 18, 16, 14, 13, 6, y 4 años) pero no la impide de ninguna manera.  Es una artista de telas que es un clase de arte que nunca he visto en mi vida. Su arte es increíble y está alrededor de toda su casa. Saqué muchos fotos de su estudio que está en el segundo piso de la casa. Ella trabaja de allí mucho y también ofrece clases los miércoles para la gente que quiere aprender cómo telar. No es sin logro; ha tenido exhibiciones y sus trabajos siempre se venden rápido. Y por qué no? Si vieras los cuadros que hace, quisieras comprar uno también.

In the movie "Mean Girls," Regina George's mom tells Cady Heron, "I'm not regular mom, I'm a cool mom." And maybe it's not the case for Mrs. George, but it is for Elo. She is the mother of 6 children (ages 18, 16, 14, 13, 6 and 4 years) but that doesn't stop her in any way. She is a fabric artist which is a type of art I've never seen in my life. Her art is amazing and is all around the house. I took many photos of her studio on the second floor of the house. She works there a lot and also offers classes on Wednesdays for people who want to learn how to use the loom. It's not without achievement; she's had exhibits and her works always sell fast. And why not? If you saw the frames she makes,  you would want to buy one too.

 Además, sus hijos y su esposo la quieren mucho y la respetan. Una vez, mandó a Rafa (4) y a Santi (6) que se arreglaran para dormir y lo hizo en una voz tan firme que se fueron inmediatamente sin quejarse. El ultimo día que estaba allá, llegó un sofá que habían ordenado para el cuarto de entretenimiento (en el segundo piso) y los hombres que lo entregaron habían dejado el sofá en la entrada. Todos los chicos de la casa incluyendo el padre estaban parados en la entrada peleando sobre que podrían hacer. La solución? Dejar la mamá llamar la compañía y resolver el problema. Viviendo en una casa con 7 hombres tal vez hiciera una mujer volver loca, pero para Elo, la locura es lo que hace todo más interesante y chistoso.

In addition, her children and her husband love her and respect her. Once, she sent Rafa (4) and Santi (6) to get ready for bed and did it in such a strong voice that they left immediately without complaint. The last day I was there, a sofa they had ordered for the entertainment room (on the second floor) arrived and the delivery men had left the sofa at the entrance. All the boys of the house including the father stood at the entrance fighting over what they could do. The solution? Let mom call the company and resolve the issue. Living in a house with 7 men might make a woman go mad, but for Elo, insanity is what makes everything more interesting and humorous.
