To start with, I want to say that I really like the poetry of Pablo Neruda (from what I read). He almost didn't win the Nobel Prize for Literature because he was a supporter of Lenin and Stalin. He was a member of the Communist Party of Chile and always acted unapologetically. But he was a hypocrite. Today, I visited his house La Chascona, which is one of his three houses around Chile. And they're not simple houses. They're decorated with cultural artifacts, paintings and other expensive things I would have never thought of. La Chascona has 3 bars. Someone please tell me why it is necessary for a communist to have 3 bars in a house. I would have seen it as normal, but in this case I think it's a bit too extravagant for a supposed Communist. This is not meant to be political: just everyone please, practice what you preach.

I couldn't take photos of the interior because there was a guard who followed us throughout the entire tour.
